Glamping & Camping Site in Ash, Kent

Here at Glamping in Kent, we have created and crafted a lovely family friendly non-electric glamping and camping site. Glamping in Kent, located at Turners Folly Field is spread across seven and a half acres surrounded by country side, apple and pear orchards and is divided up by mature trees and hedging with many native plants, a stream can also be found running across the bottom of the site.

During you’re stay here at Glamping in Kent, Turners Folly Field, you can be as energetic as you like with many attractions close by including Betteshanger Country Park just a 10 minute drive away offering cycle hire, walking routes, a children’s play area and The Mining museum. There is also a newly opened water park just a few minutes down the road. There are several PGA rated golf courses to choose from and loads of great places to eat out.

If you’re feeling you want to just relax then this is also a perfect getaway, offering picturesque views, a vineyard where you can take advantage of tasting the fresh local wine, there are also many areas for picnics and wildlife watching with public footpaths taking you across the countryside surrounding the site, these are perfect for dog walking. Glamping in Kent is also dog friendly and we accept one small dog per pitch charged as an add-on of £10. The local village is just a short walk through the Apple orchards where you can enjoy an ice cream or take a look in all the small local shops.

Our camping & Glamping site offers a comfortable, fresh and clean stay. We have beautiful non electric glamping pods in the form of 5 metre diameter bell tents and the larger 6x4 metre emperor bell tents, these have a lot more head room than the traditional bell tent which is a perfect blend of glamping and rural camping experiences. Our glamping Bell tents are furnished perfect for a short break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and allow you to unplug from technology and re-energise and enjoy roasting marshmallows over a fire pit. For the more adventurous who wish to camp, you are able to bring your own tents were we offer non electric grass pitches. Our camping pitches are nestled in a tranquil location where you can also get back to nature and enjoy the local wildlife, including many bird species and rabbits set in the fabulous views of the orchards! Whichever you choose you will enjoy a quiet and tranquil glamping or camping break taking you back to nature with a few home comforts to make your stay even more so memorable.

Turners Folly Field is a dog friendly site. We only permit one dog per pitch, but must be kept on a lead at all times. Dogs from the banned breed list are not permitted. on the campsite See our  Terms and Conditions for more information.

Really nice site, it got fairly busy in the camping field, but there was a decent amount of space for each pitch. The facilities were really clean and the location quiet.

Liked: This new campsite is excellent and just as described on the website. It is a quiet site so not one for party animals- but great if you enjoy a peaceful setting. Pitch spaces are generous and it is ok to put up a gazebo or awning up for shelter. The facilities are great, including hot showers and washing up sinks with hot water. The owners came every day to thoroughly clean and check everything was in order. They are an approachable couple who had great tips on local places to visit, including Saint Margaret at Cliffe with it's cliff top lighthouse walk. The site is well placed for many local attractions, including: wildlife parks, beaches and footpath walks. We can highly recommend the site and it is good value. Get there before everyone finds out about it!

We camped here for 4 nights in August. The hosts were really lovely and welcoming and gave us some good advise on the local area. We used this as a base to explore Kent with 3 kids and it was perfect. The facilities were amazing, best we have had camping and the site was really quiet when we were there.

Another fantastic stay over the Bank holiday weekend. Gary and Sarah are so friendly and accommodating. The new toilets/showers, sinks and washing up area is amazing. Always kept beautifully clean and well stocked. We had our favourite spot and stayed in our own tents, which Gary and Sarah remembered from last year! The site was quiet and no noise late into the night. This place is a little treasure and we didn’t want to leave, the best we’ve ever been to. See you next year! The Clark family.

Liked: Showers, toilets and wash up area was great. Well built and planned for a basic campsite. Lovely staff. Good sized flat tent pitches. Provided wood. Disliked: Not a dislike but a suggestion perhaps a small play area for the kids would be good!

We spent a great couple of nights at this beautiful campsite. The bell tent was perfect for the four of us, and having all the bedding, and cooking equipment supplied meant less packing and unpacking at either end of the stay. Result! The site itself was quiet and spacious, with great views across the countryside and plenty of space for the boys to play football and explore. On top of all that, the showers and toilet facilities were spotless. (Not always a given!) Thank you Gary and Sara. We look forward to coming back soon.
